email registration certificate?

"...getting my registration certificate thru email..." No. It's no different than any other government paperwork. A car ownership, for example.
"...would love to run thru my new pistol..." As in play with it or shoot it? Not that it matters. If it's not your first restricted, it'll just be added to your ATT if AB does that. Otherwise you'll have to wait for that anyway. Be aware that anything coming via the Royal Mail isgoig to be slow this time of year. Santa's Posties are a busy lot.

Just sharing my experience, not saying what happend is right or wrong
Last restricted transfer for me, I had called to get a statt and asked about getting it emailed as well as a copy of the registration certificate. I said I wanted to take the gun to the range and didn't want to wait for the reg. she said no prob, emailed me the statt and a TN ( transfer notification ) which has the reg # etc on it and told me I was good to go.
I never actually took it anywhere due to no 7.62x25 in these parts, but right or wrong that's what I was told.

Last 3 restricted...make that 4, I've asked the BC CFO if I can use the TN as a temp until the Posties deliver the Reg. Cert. In all cases I was told "no, you must be in possession of the Reg. Cert" and referred back to the terms on my LTATT. Matter of fact on the last one the woman working the desk recognized me and offered this information before I had a chance to ask! Read your ATT and contact your CFO. Get it in writing!! Even a CFO employee can be mistaken!
Sonofabtch. I bought two restricteds last week, both are here (one arrived last Thurs one this Monday) but only one of the damned registration certificates has showed up yet. I was really hoping to get them both down to the range tomorrow. Looks like not so much.
