Hi everyone,

This may be the wrong forum to post it, and if that is the case I apologize and would humbly request the mods move it where appropriate.

What do people do with their empty ammo crates? I've got a few empty 7.62x39 crates with the green paint and dual handles. I'd rather someone get some use out of these than then end up in a fire or at the dump. I've thought about making them into some kinda coffee table or side table, but I live in an apartment, and have next to no tools or a workspace to do it in.

Thoughts...suggestions?

Thanks everyone,
Cal.

Really? Would someone actually pay for these?

Thanks,
Cal.

i would pay about $5-10 per box pending condition some might pay more and others less. for your non gun owner who still wants to look manly they would use them in a man cave.

certainly doesn't hurt to list it and see what happens.

Well glad I came by this thread and I live on the island. Just bought some crates the op has for sale. No idea what I'm going to do with them or if my gf will let me sleep indoors once she finds out. But that's half the fun on being a gun owner/collector. Seeing how much trouble you can get into

The crates with the handles are excellent for many things. They make great lock boxes. They also make good tool boxes for the back of a vehicle. I have one in the boat and the pick up.

I also use a couple of them with hinges and handles for carrying stuff in and out of gun shows.

As far as furniture goes, maybe in a man cave but not my first choice for the living room.

I use another one to keep toxic chemicals in. They are tough and when hinges and locks are applied, they are tough to break into. My grandson and his friends are around a lot. We all know what kids are like.

I actually prefer the milsurp metal boxes for storing ammo.
