I've shot a couple thousand of Fronties CMJ bullets, but never used the Encapsulated XT bullets (from Can. bdx) they seem to cost more, but do they have any advantages? ...also are Montana Gold better then both?

if it makes a diference I'm asking about 9mm

Left to right:
Montana Gold CMJ, Frontier CMJ (plated), BDX XT (plated)

I've asked about this, and it seems Frontier does not swage theirs after plating like BDX does.
The Montana Gold are true jacketed bullets, as opposed to being plated.

From the BDX site, the XT's have a 0.005" coating. Not too sure on the Frontiers. From reading about the Montana's, it sounds like they're jacketed in brass  . No idea how thick. Haven't shot any yet.
As for Frontier-vs-BDX accuracy, I can't tell the difference. Load them the same. Maybe my Norc just doesn't care what it eats :D .
I got the XT's on a recommendation and for the price. Shipping $$ takes out any of the minimal savings on the Frontiers. BDX are pretty much local for me, so I go with them.

We recently purchased 5M x180 in 40 and 5M x200 in 45. They seem like a reasonable outfit and are very knowledgeable regarding components and, importantly, the unit price is right.

Contact them with your order and ask for a price....
