Hello, I just picked up a EABCO barrel in 6.5x55 swed and I cannot tighten up the forend stock with the factory screws that came with my encore, stock is always loose, do I need to change the screws or am I doing something wrong? factory barrel is fine
 
Would it be possible to add washers to the screws to see if it will tighten up. Possible that the screw holes are not deep enough
 
that's what I was thinking. the previous is a good fella and said he never had any issues but his rifle was 10 years old mine is 1
 
Is the new barrel the same profile as the original barrel that the forend fits properly? You need different forends for different profile barrels, ie bull like a Pro Hunter barrel and tapered like an Encore barrel.
