enfeild peep sight

I have an enfeild on the way, bought on the EE.
It seems to have a two position flip up battle sight. Can I change that out for a flip up battle sight/elevation adjustable "ladder" model? I would like to have some adjustment in it.
What range are the two positions on the non adjustable flip up supposed to be calibrated for?

The flip sight is calibrated for 300 and 600 yds and is so marked. They are easily changed out for an adjustable type. There are several types of rear sights which are adjustable for elevation. The one with the micrometer screw adjustment is considered the best.

To change out the sight you need to temove the lateral pin after driving out the small horizontal retaining pin at one end. Then simply depress the spring loaded plunger in the receiver well, position the new sight unit and then insert the lateral and horizontal pins. Windage adjustments must be taken with the front sight for all models of rear sights.

Thanks guys, useful info. I think I remember removing one of those rear sights years ago to mount a sight base.
Tradex has a Rear sight, c/w elevating screw.
