How many do you have? How many before it becomes an addiction?

I've got...
1862 Snider Enfield
1934 No.2 revolver
1942 Lithgow SMLE
1942 Maltby No.4
1944 Ishapore .410 SMLE
1950 Ishapore SMLE

and 2 more British #4's on the way for restoration. I've got a few beech forestocks, several sets of hardware, a number of walnut handguards, etc.

There is an obvious deficiency here, I'm missing a WW1 SMLE. If anyone wants to part with a proper, unmolested example, shoot me a PM!

So...

I gots WAY more than that. Try resisting an 1898 Enfield Carbine, or a 1946 Faz jungle if offered. There is no cure.

(what do you want to trade for your Snider?)

Ah, the Snider will never leave my hands. It's marked 3 GT Bn., apparently a Fenian fighter, and all original(except for that pesky breech loading device that BSA put on it:D ).

unless you have a Great War SMLE that's marked as having been with the 27th or 44th Bn, C.E.F.

Lou, did you ever get those no.4 wood sets I sold you onto a rifle?

Well I got a barreled receiver coming soon that has wood waiting for it over here...

I think that wood could probably be what you sent me? Not sure though, I tend to loose track of what came when from whom...

good start :)

I have been bitten hard by the bug but to date have started only a small collection:
1915 Lithgow
1916 Lithgow
1917 BSA
1942 LB

The 1915 and the LB are both ex-bubba's that are getting restored. The Lithgow had the front wood cut short and the original 1915 dated, numbers matching buttstock had been cut to attach a crappy rubber shoulder pad! Luckily I found a 1916 dated lithgow buttstock on ebay with stamped markings from the same district - 3 M.D. Now just to put it together...

Ah, I'm feeling much better about what is now, apparently, only a mild interest rather than an addiction:

1917 SSA All Matching with restored wood
1917 BSA with matching bolt and receiver - Restored from a bubba'd sporter
1918 BSA with matching bolt and receiver - Re-Built from a barrelled action
1942 Longbranch All Matching
1952 Post Independence India - nothing matches, rebuilt from parts
and;
2008 AIA - just to see what might have been, LOL !

All (except AIA) wear bayonets and slings - ya just have to have them dressed :)

Enfield addict is fading

I just got into Enfields just two but I feel I will move on to other guns soon
Got them both to shoot 1 min and less at 100y without to much effort using 174gr bullets & Rl 15
have some one interested in one but will probably put on EE boards after EOHC shoot in mid May.
I have enjoyed them both # 4 longbranches one a MP and other was custom made at Longbranch for a Canadian Col Mj

I just got my first centerfire in the mail today(just got my PAL 2 weeks ago). Its a Jungle Carbine made in 09/45. Can anyone tell me what RCF(F) means? Either way I'm in love.

I bets it's ROF (F) for "Royal Ordnance Factory, Fazackerley"
