Howdy,
I was wondering where could one purchase all the necessary hardware (metal, but not the wood) for an enfield full stock including the nose-cap/front-sight assembly, buttplate, barrel band and slings swivels?

Cheers,

have a look for Springfield Sporters if you are loooking for a set, if not go to some gun shows and pick them up individually, lots more fun

Just checked out their website and they don't seem to ship to canada anymore

Any other source that will ship to canada?

Cheers,

Which Lee Enfield ? No 1 or No 4 ?

Do I smell a full-wood done at home ?

Bob! Just follow your nose as they say hehe

I've been dreaming of having a fullstock (those new enfields are gorgeous). Having limited knowledge on stock making, I was hoping to be able to use your numerous threads to carve up a enfield-like fullstock for my swedish mauser. I assume that the inletting would be different, but the rest would basically be the same.

I'd have a nice full-stock rifle, I'd get to keep my mauser action in 30-06, which I love.

Best of both worlds!

What do you think, could it be done? My mauser has an internal magazine though (no floorplate).

If I understand you correctly, you want to make a Lee Enfield stock with a Mauser action ? If so, you will have to choose what lee Enfield you want it to look like, the No 4 or the No 1.

A No 1 will require less metal part for what you want to do (a nose cap and a center band). Getting the 3 metal parts for the front fo a No 4 can be a challenge.

Do you have pics of the barreled action ?

Hi Bob,
I love the look of the new AIA M10 full stock (there's probably a "proper" name for it: No 4 Mk IV?). I should really clean up my mauser soon (went coyote hunting the other day near Victoriaville...I let it dry up when we came back but didn't actually oil it. Didn't see any coyotes but we did see 10'ish deers). I could take some pics of the action.

Bob, do you foresee any problems with my project plans?
