Enfield mk3 scope mount

Hey guys I picked up at lee enfield mk 3 sporter and I wanted to know who sells a good scope mount for them ? Thx

Scope mounts for the Enfield No 1 Mk III (not a Mk 3) are kind of thin on the ground. There are some that replace the rear sight, no gunsmithing type, not sure how good they are. They require a long eye relief scope.

Hopefully you won't drill and tap the receiver, but if it already is, being a sporter...a member on here was making up some new Picatinny rail mounts to replace old T01 bases.

As Cantom said, if it's not drilled and tapped yet, it has more value. (And can easily be refurbed back to its full-wood configuration).

If it's tapped already, then it's a question of finding the mount that matches the holes...

Already-drilled and ready-to-be scoped No1Mk3 Lee Enfields are cheaper than getting an intact rifle drilled and and have a mount installed, so that's also to be considered in my opinion,

Very much agreed Lou. Any gun store has scoped or scope mounted No 1 Mk III's for $100-$200 or so. Don't drill and tap one that hasn't been touched.

Ya the guns is in good shape the receiver is not drilled out or anything. Think il just leave it be then. Thinking i might try to find a stock set and make it look like a real #1 mk 3. How hard is it to find the suff to do that ?

Found a place in the US (finally!), need your comments on:
