When i bought this rifle everything was great until I put about 2 dozen rounds thought it. Now the bolt won't draw back without alot of force and need to have it looked at. I've been asking friends for some weeks now and no one seems to be about to let me know of any good gunsmiths for the 4 mark 1. Any one have any good suggestions in the greater Vancouver area???

Probably a dumb question, but have you given it a good cleaning? If not, remove the bolt, and give it, as well as the internals, as thorough a cleaning as possible. I've acquired guns which were gummed up with old coatings of lubricant and dust, making them so sticky that the action couldn't be worked properly. A bit of heat from the rounds you fired could have contributed to the drying up of any old residual lubricant. I've had good luck using a cleaner/lubricant product called "Moove it" (sp?), which is something like WD40 (but better) to remove the residue and loosen things up.

After further inpection, I noticed that the bolt was rubbing up the side. I hope that my rifle isn't fubar'd. Has anyone else has the problem???

some light polishing compund on the bolt after a serious cleaning should help a bit also check the saftey lever if it is on accidently while trying to eject the bolt will slide hard

My first thoughts are is the safety rubbing, and is the bolt rubbing the ejector screw. Both can cause the bolt to be hard to open.

A good cleaning will help, enfield bolts should be easy to opperate, and slightly sloppy.

"...the bolt won't draw back without..." Empty or loaded? Or both?
Check the ejector screw, the headspace(should have done that before firing any Lee-Enfield) and the tightness of the safety screw.
