Enfield no. 1 scope

Hi all,

I picked up a No. 1 Mk. 3 last year and am starting to think about putting a cheap scope on it. What kind of mounting options should I be considering?

Well I would be looking for a non smith type : no drilling or tapping required.

Is this a sporterised unit or a full wood?

Sporterized. If it were full wood I wouldn't bother, there's just something about full wood with a scope that bugs me. just one of those odd mental ticks.

On the other hand, full wood does look awfully good if you are mounting a Pattern 1918 Aldis or a Periscopic Prism.......

.....not even to mention that the scope and mount don't bother your wirecutters or bayonet at all.

Cool, thanks. Think I'll go for the S&K, I like that it sits the scope lower than the ATI.
