Greetings, everyone

I have a question regarding feeding issue with my No 1 MK3*
Recently just acquired this rifle and haven't test fire it yet.

It seems like my magazine's front likes to go down jsut a few mm , but that is enough to cause the cartridge to hit the feed ramp and won't chamber.
It works if I just tap the front of the magazine back , or hold the mag when chambering.

Any of you know a way to fix this? I am hoping not to buy a new magazine for this.

thanks in advance!

Before you go down the rabbit hole of magazine tweaking, try a small cardboard shim under the front (main) action screw, between the bottom metal and stock. That stock could be compressed enough that the metal has shifted. The shim will let you know. If that is the problem, you can fit a new bushing to the main screw. Also that wood looks very dry and delicate, you might want to try to get some RLO cut with Turpentine into it, it might bring it back to spec., changing the mag lips might cure the symptom, but with wood that dry, it won't cure the problem - you don't want the old girl to tear herself apart from recoil.
