I have been out of the milsurp game for awhile. Some one told me the enfield prices have sky rocketed. I looked on the EE and that seems to be true. What is the approximate value of what I have? I am looking for a price that will actually sell.

Its a No4 Mk1 12/43 (F). Not a single number matches since it was desporterized.

Included with it:

Transit case, bayonet, breech cover, cleaning rope and oiler, about 8 clips, and about 500 once fired brass.

I think that might be a bit high. I was in the market for a while, and just bought mine 2 weeks ago. It matches, and has the original stock. I paid $800.

Yours looks nice, and comes with a nice collection of accessories, but as a buyer i would have been put off by the de-sporterised part - that would seem less authentic to me, and therefore be worth less.

I'd list it for $750 myself.

The transit case is an easy $150 in my humble experience. Brass? Maybe at least $100 there? Add the rifle, if the work done on it is actually good (not a given), and the bore is really good, could be a $750 gun indeed?

Thanks for the input. Buddy at the range was telling me 1200 for the rifle. I did not really believe him. Given the price of 303 brass, I think the brass would sell for more.than 100. I might just keep this one around for awhile

Gnome75, Right now it's a toss-up on whether it's a "good" time to buy or sell a milsurp.

The mad rush seems to be losing some steam lately, but there are still die hards out there trying to make top dollar on a momentum play.

Gun shows are packed with hundreds of "sporterized" Lee Enfields, in every condition from junk to very well done.

None of them are cheap, most are way overpriced and their real value is far below the asking price.

Rifles that brought $1100+ last year are going for $900 this year. As ammunition for these rifles becomes more expensive, so does the desire to own them.

I believe the $900 range, with all of the accessories you list, and from what I see in the pic is right in the ball park for FAIR VALUE, as long as the bore is at least 75% and not pitted.
