I had mentioned in a thread that i had made up a weaver rail for my shtle III* and had a few guys p.m. me for more details. The rifle previously had the popular weaver TO-1 dovetail rail and due to the rings costantly wanting to slide under recoil...... I needed a solution other than what was currently on the market. I turned to my bin of misc rail pieces.
what the pics don't show is the slotting underneath the rear to mate up with the stripper clip guide bridge.
Was a pretty simple project...... for a milling machine
I used my dremel router.... rigger for the job hehehe.
anyhow, here's the pics of the rough version...... a finished and properly milled version will be picked up from my machinist in a few days.... just in time for deer season
