enfield screw size

Need some help. I got a stock set today for my no1mk3 but the front trigger guard screw is to long. can some one measure theres and tell me how long it should be? this one is about 34mm I think.

Need some help. I got a stock set today for my no1mk3 but the front trigger guard screw is to long. can some one measure theres and tell me how long it should be? this one is about 34mm I think.

34mm...what would that be in inches? Never mind I've got a tape on the desk: just shy of 1 & 3/8".

Could be they gave you a P14 or M17 screw by mistake, I seem to recall they are longer. Too lazy to go downstairs and unlock to check, sorry!

There should be a lock washer on that screw, That might be why you think it's too long
