So a couple of my buddies have been pestering me to post pictures of my Enfield "sporterized" LOL.

Scope is not original to the rifle. Someone mentioned to me that it was IDF issue at one time. Anyone care to share any info on the scope.

Running very low P-H rings so the top wood won't fit.

Regardless, the rifle AND the scope are dead nuts accurate.

I have a P-H bi-pod to go with it as well.

Well...2 different rifles posted. One is an Enforcer with a heavy barrel. The other is a sporterized no4. The correct scope for the Enforcer is the 4 -10 x 52 Pecar in Parker Hale RAHS.4 rings. It will just clear the modified handguard. Can you tell me the markings on the barrel knox (Area just ahead of the receiver). From this info I can tell you if correct and approx assembly date. If you don't want to post the info pls PM. Ron

PS - Handguard does not look correct.No recess cut to clear scope bell.
- What the 3 digits beneath the green tape. Tell me if original build or a Charnwood repro.

Enforcers were assembled by Enfield up to a certain serial number. When Enfield went out of business the assets were sold. Incomplete receivers and parts were sold to Charnwood who assembled reproductions from these parts married with others and sold for the after market. Yours is a "D80" so it's near the end of the Enfield contract. A few of those floating around Canada. Yours could be correct and it all depends on the SN and proof marks. Ron

The cocking piece looks like it's from a SMLE. What is the date on the barrel? There should be a two digit number there for the year.

I have one of these handguards, looks flat on top ,with cuts in the sides.

1. Unless you added it, the scope may well be original to the gun - purchasers could specify any scope, or no scope. Enfield recommended the Pecar scopes.

1a. If it's Israeli, it should have markings; look for Israeli inspection or ownership markings. Tasco scopes did quite well in late 70s early 80s military and police trials.

2. See above Re the handguard. If the scope was issued with a scope which didn't require clearance it probably wasn't done.
