Enfield Stock

By the time you pay shipping, duty and if you use UPS, a brokerage fee ($60), plus exchange, you should ve able to pick up a stock from one of the sponsors of this site a fair bit cheaper. Try advertiseing on the EE for a used one.

Marstar lists that one for $99, but their website currently says sold out. I've seen them listed at other big retailers in Canada for under $100 - consult the list of usual suspects. It's probably worth a few extra dollars to save the time and trouble of importing from the U.S.

The most common drop-in no-gunsmithing synthetic hunting stocks for mil-surps including the Lee-Enfields are the Ramline and ATI. I haven't used either but what is commonly said by those who report on them is that they:

1. may need a bit of tweaking to fit, within the ability of the typical owner, and

2. they work, and

3. the ATI is a bit better if you mount a scope because the cheekpiece is a bit higher.

The secret to US shopping is ship nothing by UPS as the bastards will have the price doubled upon arrival...never paid a cent on E-Bay purchases yet.................................Harold
