Okay, here we go. Battlefield 1942. Which rifle do you want in your hands. Your choices are the No4 Mk1 or the K98k Mauser. What say you (strictly design not country affiliation).

Not even difficult - the best battle rifle of the 2 is the Enfield - faster, better combat sights, more rugged and resistant to extreme conditions, and twice the ammunition capacity.

I'm also for the Enfield. Mausers are great, and if it were a hunting trip and I could scope them I'd choose the mauser. But for war? The above have already mentioned the advantages.

WWI, the Americans had the best target rifle, the Germans had the best hunting rifle, and the British had the best battle rifle!

I'm a Mauser guy, grew up shooting them and love them. But in this scenario even I would take the Enfield. Peep sights and 10 rounds is a no brainer. Have shot both at long distance, LE is easier to get on target quicker due to the superior sights.
