Ive been trying to restore a No4Mk1 for a bit. I cant find full wood (original or repro) other than LibertyTreeCollector. I asked them if they ship to Canada and it came back as a big NO....

Where do you guys find your full wood? Ebay? Any other ideas?

Don't forget to read up on proper fitting of Enfield wood. You can't just drop a barreled action in it like a hunting rifle.

Do you have any recommended reads for this? That is my understanding as well and up until this point it has stopped me from trying a restore project.

You're looking for a copy of the British publication called "Instructions For Armourers" 1931 Edition. That'll get you going.

Edit: Here it is;

And while we're at it, here's the 1912 Edition, with 1916 Amendments. For those who like to peruse these sorts of publications...

Oh, and it never hurts to get a copy of the Canadian Army use/care of manual and armourers manual for the No4 rifle. If you dig through my posts on this sub-forum you should be able to find the links. Repost them if you like, as well...
