engraiving after parkerising????

so i think i know the answer but....
doing lazer Engraving after somthing has been parkarised, will it rust? even if i oil it.
I think the answer has to be yes but?
anyone had there gun engraived and not refinished.

You are removing the protective coating and going down to bare metal.

Do you have any rifles with bolts that are still 'in the white'? Most of mine are, and they will rust if you don't take care of them.

If you do indeed redip, make sure you cleaned the firearm properly or it will leave spots.
