I've always thought the BPS could use some engraving on the sides of that big plain receiver.
There were some models with engraving, although I've never seen one in real life. Does anyone know which models they were?
crunch68,My BPS 12 gauge is called a deer special,it has 2 deer on one side and 2 turkey's on the other,it is the model with smooth bore with invector rifled tube, turkey choke,2 shot chokes.
Mine has engraving on both sides of the receiver. It is called a BPS Grade one Field. I just came across a couple new ones on gunbroker that take 3.5" shells NIB. I have both a 12 and a 20 gauge but they only take 3". They have pheasants engraved on one side of the receiver and ducks on the other.
They were the standard BPS Hunter from a few years back. Just like the BPS you can buy now, except with rolled engraving on the receiver. Not sure why they stopped that model and went to the plain receiver.
