I'm pretty excited to enter my first PRS style .22lr match on August 15th. Just curious if anyone has any advise for me when showing up to my first match. Also, are competitors allowed to fire a couple of shots into the berm before the match starts to warm up the barrel? I have always just used a bipod as well, any tips on making a one gallon shooting bag? Cheers

Just show up and bring what you got, practice at home with a 6' ladder if you got one. The community is excellent and will most likely let you try their stuff. Tell the match director you need to sight in the gun(show up early). The match director will talk you through the course of fire. And finally, watch and learn.

Oh yeah, have fun

If you can make it, try attending an ORPS match before, I believe there should be one in Stittsville later this month.

308acadian pretty much covered the key points, don't get hung up on the gear. Practice the movements, and know the safety and handling rules.
