OH! The wood on those guns! all with unfinished butts so you can set your LOP too. Thats the way to do it.

Yes! 100% agreed - I wish more gun makers would offer longer stocks that could be cut to length, rather than having to build a standard stock out 1"++ with spacers.

Looks like a great show. What a great experience. Enjoy your new Perazzi 4 gun set.;) haha

My 1948 Jeffrey has a LOP of 15 1/4 so I suspect it was a custom order. Was the first gun I ever put up that fit perfect with No pad .

When CANSEC defence trade show was held at the Ottawa Convention Centre, I was late for a staff meeting. There was a lineup for the Simunition booth, and I wanted to try. But it was the best excuse ever, 'Sorry sir, I was shooting an MP5 at the Rideau Centre.'

Actually I suspect those buts are finished. It’s not uncommon for EU made guns to be done that way with no recoil pad, of course those makers and shooters don’t subscribe to over the top heavy loads like North Americans do.

Yes right, in Europe common to shoot 21 and 24 gram target loads.
No doubt at the price the Perazzi stocks are custom fit.
More common in Europe to see guns finished in the wood, or with thin wood butt plate.
As you can see on the butts on the Perazzi guns on the left in the pic above.
And like these other Perazzi guns in the pic below.
And the Rizzini O/U below some finished in wood and SxS finished with wood butt plate.

OK, what are those looooong single shots?

I wondered the same.
A .410 "Beta 110 single barrel Effebi di Beretta with extension, the classic hunting shotgun, for silent and extra long shots."

An Italian friend I met at the show explained.
Some Italians like to poach all sorts of tweety birds, not counting the legal to shoot little Tordi/Thrushes.
So the preferred gun is a quiet .410, or smaller 8mm, or 9mm.
Some of the small shotgun loads from Eurocomm and a pic from the show.
