I have a slight astigmatism which causes red dots to be more like a bunch of little dots.
Would an xps2 or 3 be distorted with an astigmatism? Anyone have experience?

I too have that "ocular affliction". Of all the red dots I have tried, the Eotech is the most usable. The center dot is slightly distorted and appears to my eye as three tightly clustered dots, but is perfectly useable. It.is probably best to take a peak through one first though as you may perceive it differently.

The source of the problem is the laser, so you can use something fiber optic instead.

One of my long time favorites is the Armson OEG sight.

You can get it with or without the radio luminous filament that lasts for about 10 years. After that, you just need daylight and its self adjusting.

What is really cool about this is that since it has no field of view, you can run it on a shotgun and shoot trap or skeet with it. To everyone's surprise at the range... it actually works very well on a shotgun with fast movers.

You can order it from the USA and they will ship it to Canada out of a Europe where they don't have export challenges.

Another option is the Mepro Light, but it does have a fixed field of view like most red dots.

I have both of these sights and both are great as long as you are in the light.

If shooting from inside a dark building to daylight like at the range, you may need a flashlight to illuminate.

One thing to remember is test it at a realistic target. A wall 10 feet away will look a lot worse than a tree 25m away, at least in my experience.

I have two Aimpoints and astigmatism so i see a somewhat fuzzy angled 3 dot line . Not so bad that i can't shoot accurately . I bought a 3x magnifier and now see one slightly fuzzy dot so not 100% solved but much better .

This!
Try a prism sight with an etched reticle, I just switched to a Primary Arms 3x fixed Prism sight, works way better than a red dot with astigmatism

Exactly. Vortex Spitfire is another option. Worked great for me on my personal AR. I know have a Burris RT6 on it, works like a charm as well if you want something with some magnification as well. My work rifle has an Aimpoint and I hate it but can't change it obviously.
