Eotech problem

Just bought an EOTECH XPS2 from EE section.

Out of the box, the eotech has a reticle that fades at certain area of the window (in the middle section), it appears to be normal at the edge of the window tho. I know the sight have been sitting in cold delivery truck for 2 days but will it affect it?

The battery cap has some scratch on it, and I can not screw it open at all with the tools I have without damage to it. Is there a speical way to unscrew the battery cap? The instuction books says turn it counter clock wise but hell my coin is almost bend and my screw driver is almost twisted and the cap is not moving.......

Anyone can help here? Do I ask for a refund?

I'd give Eotech a phone call and ask for there Tech dept to give you some advice as how to go about it.
You may really damage something if the cover is on that tight.
They may offer to have you ship it back to them for service. Or see if the fella you bought it from will take it back.

Just in case it is a hardware issue, can we send it back to EOTECH in USA for repair ?

It would be best to call Eotech and find out first hand. Or call a Canadian dealer and see what they say.

So looks like your battery cap was over torqued...
Let it warm up to room temperature and have a look
Don't want to open up a can of worm here but are you sure you got a real one and not a Chinese knock off? How was the description from seller?

I was thinking the same thing, there are plenty of replicas out there.

All good ideas. I wouldn't do any "testing" without consulting EO Tech.

Doesn't hurt to open a line of comms with the seller.

Hi guys this is the video showing the problem.

As for if it is real, it is since I have other 2 real eotech and Chinese knockoff does not have "laser texture" in their reticles.

the seller is very friendly.

However he says he will not take the sight back because I did extra scratch on the battery cap which was over tightened and had scratch on it.

I offered him that I will personally buy a new eotech battery cap for him in order to get a refund, what you guys think?
