I know there has been lots of info on Eotech issues but haven't seen anything posted on the refund process. There have been some announcements on Soldier Systems but it doesn't seem to wide spread yet.

I did proceed to request a refund through L3 and was approved. I shipped the optic back this morning and will be issued a cheque for the full sale price + tax + shipping a few weeks after the optic lands in Ann Arbor.

Pretty simple process, just needed to provide some basic info to get it done.

FYI to those that are interested.

For what it's worth, they asked me for the serial #, place of purchase and the price I paid for it. All of this info can be tracked by them with the serial #. Before buying any used optics to flip for a few hundred more, I would email them and ask them what their policy is for refunding second hand optics.

Looks like eotech is trying to avoid some very costly class action lawsuits. I guess the "blog by some nobody" about eotech's short comings and "there's nothing wrong with an/my eotech" comments are looking a little thin. If eotech is issuing open refunds to anyone and everyone, that tells me they know about the issues and are admitting to knowing about them. Not to mention they lost their suit to the US government for $25.6 million as well.

Op thanks for the info. I filled out the fourm and submitted it. Got an email this morning saying I have been approved for a full refund plus $ 15 shipping. Actual cost was $23. Im only about 45 min drive from the return adress so I hope it goes quickly. Packaged up one of my 3 eotech and sent it back. I'll let you guys know when I hear back from them. Now what to buy with my $911?

Have you guys seen how much eotech costs now with the weak Canadian dollar? If you got it at a good price it may still be worth keeping it. Either way, there will be a lot of refurbished eotech for sure.

Thanks, that's what I did. Are they asking for proof of purchase price? Or are they paying out MSRP at the time, I cant remember what I paid or find my receipt?

They told me full purchase price will be refunded plus $15 shipping. No proof of purchase was requested, I personally don't have that either but I'm sure they can find it via the serial #

I've hard a rumour that it will only be store credit with them, have you heard otherwise?

This is the response I got:

Your refund request has been received and approved.# Please print and enclose this email with your optic and return it to: EOTech Refunds, 1201 E Ellsworth Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48108.# EOTech will refund the purchase price plus $15 shipping cost as soon as possible.#

Thank you,

Store credit is fine with me as the money will be spent on a T2 any way. From a quick search on the net sounds like they send you a cheque
