eotech sight in

Popcan it depends on the game ... Tac Rifle participants typically sight in at 50 yards because we never shoot past 100 yards. What kind of shooting and at what ranges do you plan to use your EoTech?

50m IBZ

It will be be within 3" POA to POI from 0-250m

Only thing I zero at other ranges are scopes that can have multiple zero ranges (i.e. S&B Short Dot) - or ones like the ACOG that have specific zero's for their BDC.

Stupid question: What is IBZ ?

Thanks

Being that you are an old fart, I'd set it to 100 yards. Any further out and you Mark 1 Eyeball won't be up to the task.

The Sig deserves magnafied optics. Only go Eotech if you are planning to shoot timed matches at >100m ranges.

I have my EOTech sighted M14s zeroed at 50 M for tac carbine matches. Anywhere from 0 to 250 I am good for minute of deer. About 1.5" low at 250M. My son and I were hitting a 12" steel plate at 400M with no problem after experimenting a little for hold over and found that placing the bottom of the circle just at the bottom of the plate got us good hits.

Thanks for mentioning that. ;) I almost forgot, having kicked your ass in the hunting rifle shoot. :dancingbanana:
I realize you were probably hung over at the time, but I'll take it! :p

I have other choices already for magnified optics... awaiting arrival of an Elite BL 1.5 - 4.5, and I already have a 3.5x10 Leup.
Eotech is going to be for coyotes this winter, and then likely will sit on my shotgun during the spring/summer. ;)

Because a brought my hunting rifle with me.
I've got some magnafied optics on my AR180B now, you watch out!

You know what the nice thing about these Black Rifles is? QD mounts. I carry both my Eotech and my 3x scope. If I have a shot further out, just slap on the scope. Don't even have to take of the Eotech (if you have the room), just sight right through it.

Well, if we're going to get technical...it's:-

Charles F. Santose, Lt. Colonel, Armor, USAR
Company B, 2d Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment - Cacti Blue.

And Chuck wouldn't use an EOTech (or an HBAR) if you put a gun to his head.
