Eotech with swing away Magnifier

So Ive got some money down on a new tavor, just waiting for it to show up, and in the meantime I'm researching some optics.
I've come across the Eotech HHS II, the Eotech with the swing away magnifier, and was wondering if anyone has any experience with these? It seems like a great idea, Though I could see the magnifier blocking your field of view when swung out.
This is my first "black rifle" and my only other experience with a red dot scope was a Tasco red dot on my 10/22.
My brother in law has the Zombie stopper Eotech and he seems to like it but I'm past all the Zombie craze. Any help is greatly appreciated folks!

I like this combination but I plan to purchase the Aimpoint PRO + 3X swing away magnifier due to value overall. I plan to use this setup on our CASM "EX" (9") scope mount due out soon for the M14, however, your Eotech setup could be a lighter option and I like the XPS 2-2's second dot so its a tough choice. Great setup either way really but it is hard to justify $500 for a 3X magnifier when one could purchase a Burris MTAC 4x scope for just over $400 at PDENT.... . If only they had stock!

I have the previous incarnation with the flip to side magnifier. I don't find it gets in the way at all when flipped to the side.
 
I have an eotech on my su-16. I just added a sight-mark 3x magnifier. It comes with a quick detach slide/flip to the side mount. All for $129. Wasn't sure I'd like the magnifier option so I went with this setup just to try it out for cheaper. It seems pretty decent for the price.

will be my next purchase I have been playing with vortex X3, and is time to upgrade. Eye relief is a biggy have 1.5" or less feels like your eye is real close, not so bad on an AR. However, my M14 in a troy chassis with a brake, will touch my saftey glasses every time. The quick release is also a must have.
 
I'm not so worried about price on this gun, when the gun is damn near 3 grand to start with, I don't see a point in ponying up a bit more than normal as long as I'm not over paying. Every other gun I have is under $1000 bucks with most under $500. So this gun is a treat for myself after being cheap all these years.

Flips awat from you, not towards. I have this setup on my AR and love it. Only thing is for some eotech combinations the magnifier and holopoint doint match up. I had to purchase a riser for the holopoint to bring it up to the same level as the magnifier. On the plus side, the riser is QD so it makes changing things easy
 
What about the Vortex 3x magnifier in the ADM swing mount. Picked one up at P and D for $279. Good way to see if you like the combo.
 
So I optics being like anything else AR related, seem to be out of stock all over. But I did happen to pick up an EXPS3-2 on EE that I will try out first and as long as I like it I'll try to find a magnifier seperately. Thanks everyone for your advice!
 
I got a swing away magnifier from eBay for about $75. It seems sturdy and fine, but I haven't gotten an Eotech for it yet. I'm waiting for the ones to come in that are compatible with night vision.
 
I have the pro and put the Aimpoint magnifier behind it. I mounted the magnifier in an American Defense swing mount. The mount was $140 and I set it up to swing to the left side. The brass would hit it if I had it swing the other way. It does not get in the way when not in use
