I recently went looking for a nice fast sight for my .22 and decided on the EOTech XPS2-RF. I have owned EOTech products before and have always been happy with them.

I purchased the sight from our CGN sponsor dealer Frontier Firearms, The model I wanted was not listed on their website, but after a fast email exchange, they promised me they could get one. Cost was 399.95 plus taxes and shipping. My sight was properly packaged and arrived quickly. Frontier is top notch to deal with.

All EOTech's come very well packaged in a plastic locking case with foam inserts to protect the sight. also included in the package is an operating manual and a 1/16'' allen tool.

going from the manual, heres a quick description

-Optics: Transmission holography - parallax free
-Magnification: 1x
-Eye relief: unlimited
-Lenght/Width/Heigh: 3.5''x2''x2.2''
-Weight: 7.0 oz
-Temperature: -40 to 65 C
-Waterproof: resistant
-Sealing: fogproof internal optics
-Color/Finish: non-reflective black
-Adjustment (per click): 0.5 MOA at 100 yards
-Adjustment Range: +/- 40 MOA travel
-Mount: 3/8'' Dovetail
-Return to zero: Repeatable up to 2 MOA after re-mounting
-Recticle: 65 MOA circle with quadrant ticks with 1 MOA aiming dot
-Protective Hood: none

The biggest differences between this and the centerfire models, is the lack of the aluminum protective hood, and the integrated base for 3/8'' dovetail. the rimfire model also does not have the typical "For Law Enforcement / Military Use" markings.

The base is well made, all steel and very easy too mount, just back out the two screws with the 1/16'' allen tool, sit the unit on the rifle, retighten until snug and give the screws and extra 1/2 turn for about 6 inch pounds or torque.

heres a picture showing the base

The controls, and viewing window are the same size as the other EOTech models, here is some pictures next to my 512.

It wasnt the best of days here, it was overcast and windy. but i took a fast trip to the range anyways. The sight was easy to adjust and I quickly found my zero. its a great addition to my model 9422 and should be great for small game next fall.

That's a nice set up. I was thinking of a small scope on my .22 for grouse and rabbits but I like your set up. Let us know how it works out. Thx.

small game season was all wrapped up by the time i received it, but ive hunted with EOTechs before. they are top notch for up close shooting (< 100 yards), wide viewing area, true holographic recticle, fast to pick up, plus you can shoot with both eyes open and keep your peripheral vision.
