Epoxy putty for bedding.

Bedding material needs to flow into all the wee nooks and crannies of a stock. Modeling putty won't do that.
E-Bay finances the people who want to take your firearms away from you. No need to give them your money for JB Weld anyway. Crappy Tire carries it.

Having used Epoxy Putty, including Milliput, for various things, I would be highly skeptical that Milliput would be good for bedding. There is far more to it than just being epoxy. A good bedding epoxy needs to have many qualities, including strength, zero shrinkage, viscosity when mixed, etc. Milliput is more like Play-Doh when mixed, which doesn't make it ideal for bedding. Nor do I believe it has the strength characteristics required for bedding. That said, if that is all you have, give it a shot. But don't be surprised if you need to chisel it out of your stock after the first range session.

I would rather suggest Devcon Steel (or Aluminum) Putty (not liquid). It is very strong, reliable, and mixes up to the consistancy of creamy peanut butter, allowing it to flow into every little void and space required. It will definitely be more expensive, but you do get enough to do 3-5 rifles, so you can split the cost with your friends.

Thanks for the tips ;)

Yes I know but I bought the Milliput putty from them for scale modelling not stock bedding :)
