So I've been keeping a eye on the Shotgun Exchange as I'd love to pick up used 12 semi, this 391 comes up that's in my price range so I PM the owner and ask if there are pictures available. The reply is " don't sell to "0" s." I only assume because I haven't traded here before. I totally understand that it certainly the sellers prerogative to sell to whom he wishes, but I don't understand what the risks are in dealing with a new member. I know that with the volume of guns that are moved through this site that Ill get another shot at one but I just want to be more careful next time. Any pointers? Thanks in advance!

opps I tagged this to another thread I was reading, so if you've read before sorry for the error.:bangHead:

I honestly dont see why the seller is worried since it can be paid for and transfered before it ships. I see this as the way TO build your trader rating. if it were the otherway around i could see his point, but still should be able to try and work somethign out.

Unfortunatly you might have to wait for another to turn up.

Dave

a Seller selling to a 0 trading rating has not real risk involved, as he can hold the gun untill he can confirm the money is paid, and the transfer is completed (easy phone call).

A buyer buying from a 0 has lots of risk.

the guy has his tinfoil hat on too tight

you're better off not dealing with someone with that attitude , sounds like he has no patience in dealing with a newbie .

i have no problem selling to a zero TR buyer but buying from a zero seller is completely a different story .

No offense to the seller, but if I can help, I'll vouch for you and he can deal with me if the seller has reservations and go from there. I'm in Kitchener. PM me.
