Just picked up 2 boxes (each of 25 shells)....the shells sure do look different!

Does anyone have any quibbles with this stuff, i.e. should I keep this for the break-open shotguns only?

i bought a couple flats, but they were #8's 1 1/8 oz 2 3/4 dram eq. trap loads. looked like all my other shells, red low brass, with light ribs on the outside shell. i haven't noticed the buckshot shells, but the estates i have shot great.

We use them at work with the rental shotguns. Not a single failure to fire in over 3000+ rounds. The powder smells funny, that's all.

Unless the boxes are full and really minty I would shoot them. It is surprising how long ammunition will last when stored properly. I have hunted with 1950's production "Imperial" shotgun shells and they worked great in fact I think they were loaded hotter than the new stuff. Recoil and report were definitely sharper.

Never had a fear of shooting old shells purchased at gun shows.
Couple years back a chap had a bunch of zippy bags filled with 12 gauge shells.
He had the number of shells in there and the rainbow effect of colours of shells
had me sucked in.
The smells them old shells had emitted was a treat in itself.

Nutt'in ventured, nutt'in gained.................

Ha, the smell of an old paper shot shell, brings back memories from when I was a young lad, out with granddad.
wish you could still buy them.

The New shells from Estate Ammo has good reviews in the US. Its new good quality ammo, shoot it in what ever you have. If it is the OLD CIL buckshot, it still shoots well but no plastic wad.
