I am considering getting a Volunteer Rifle. Apparently Parker Hale is out of Business and Euroarms used up all the PH barrels, so if I bought a new one it would have a Euroarms barrel. Anyone have one of these or an opinion?

I'd rather buy a used PH Volunteer but don't know who would have one.

Euroarms make an excellent quality Volunteer Rifle.

None are dead nuts ringers of the originals.

They come in 2 or 3 band models with Henry rifling.

Each model has the choice of barrel stamped Parker Hale or Euroarms.

There is no difference on the Parker Hale or Euroarms except for barrel stampings.

You will pay more for the Parker Hale stamped ones in the U.S. of A.

The most collectable are the early Parker Hale British built models.

You will pay for the opportunity of owning an early one.

The Whitworth comes in a 3 bander with choice of barrel stamped Parker Hale or Euroarms.

This model comes with exagonal rifling.

All the above have cold hammer forged barrells.

Parker Hale Euroarms Volunteer

Mines is the target model with what Euroarms calls the Parker Hale barrel. If you go to the Euroarms website a description will be available which should answer your questions. I have found it to be very accurate and well built with my only complaint being the quality of the sights. This could be addressed by some after market (anyone have any suggestions?). You will have to get the Lyman mold designed for it as well. I do not believe that the Volunteer comes with a mold but perhaps there is one available that can be ordered at the same time. I get 2 inch groups at 100 M all the time and sometimes better...

Cheers.
