Now that is true!Here is a refreshing idea: letās just worry about ourselves instead of complaining about the other peopleās business. I sold five rifles this year here and all of them were priced fairlyā¦to say at least. It took me multiple weeks (if not months) to sell each of them. Market is beyond sluggish nowadays and thereās very little demand, even for the items that are fairly priced and in good condition. Not to mention the lack of integrity from the buyers (multiple deals where āI will take itā were followed by ghosting). Good luck with your sales.
that may be a solution...for some, but no*Can you leave them a 'Neutral' feedback{warning} for that scenario?
After being left hanging a time or two (or 10), I found the easiest way to avoid this is to say some version ofAt least you Bought it! I recently had someone, message me an offer- they asked would you take $###, shipped to xyz, -lower than my listed price- I said sure, I will, let's do that. Then, they Ghosted me. I politely messaged them back the next day {after seeing they've been on}, & said, What's up?
If something has changed, plz let me know asap, {I had switched it to it spf} as per common courtesy.
A day goes by again, they've been on, but still can't even just message me to re-confirm or to say No, sorry, they changed their mind.
Nope-nothing-
So I messaged them & basically got snippy lol Mehh~ got their attention though - f.n ghostin'/flakers +
I Don't care if you changed your mind- JUST SAY SO ffs!
*Can you leave them a 'Neutral' feedback{warning} for that scenario?
Interesting after leaving a negative feedback back to a someone that did a trade(he initiated the trade) and he lied to me on the item he traded me and didnāt want anything to do with me and gave me a rather harsh negative feedbackā¦. So I think it can go both ways lolthat may be a solution...for some, but no
cgn_feedback_rules
- Neutral feedback can be left by both the buyer or the Seller where there is a recognized transaction, when one party backs out of a verbal agreement and the timing of delivery of funds has been specified at the time of the acceptance of the offer;
- Only the Buyer can initiate Negative Feedback. A Seller can only respond with a neutral feedback after a negative feeback is left by the buyer. The Seller cannot initiate a negative feedback;
- Negative feedback can only be left by the buyer in the following circumstances:
- There must be an agreed date of delivery before funds are accepted, and the delivery date is not met; It is the responsibility of the buyer to obtain a date of delivery before sending funds;
- Items delivered do not agree to the conditions posted;
- All feedback must be left within 30 calendar days after the mutually agreed to date of delivery;
Retaliatory unwarranted negative feedbacks are the risk you take when leaving one.Interesting after leaving a negative feedback back to a someone that did a trade(he initiated the trade) and he lied to me on the item he traded me and didnāt want anything to do with me and gave me a rather harsh negative feedbackā¦. In this case I had a scope for sale and the buyer offered me some money and a scope he had, so I said yes after seing some pictures and he was obviously hiding stuff in the pictures, my bad for not asking more pictures! That said when I mentioned that to him he said I was a liar and that his scope was exactly like he described it and it wasnāt. So since he didnāt want to hear anything, I left a negative feedback and after he saw my feed back he changed the positive feedback he left me earlier into a negative one. I removed my negative feedback back cause I didnāt think it would fruckin matter anyway and blocked the arshole!Retaliatory unwarranted negative feedbacks are the risk you take when leaving one.
Its what makes the feedback system not always a true representation of the seller.
Its hard to leave a buyer a negative, there only job is to send money and an address
Certainlyā¦but the dynamics are changing and itās hard not to notice that. Poor communication appears to be the new normal, especially with the new members. Ghosting (as described) is a big thing too. Perhaps I wasnāt wise enough to sort out the bad apples earlier on, but anyone who made such offers or displayed such behaviour ended up on my ignore list already. Iām getting old now and in ten years it wonāt be my problem anymore. Thanks for being solid over all those years Kamlooky.Nestor, there are plenty of great folk on this site.
Pick and choose your dealings wisely.
I declined a buyer a sale on another forum as my nose started twitching.
I pulled the ad from over there and prefer to dabble on here.
Some great personalities awnāear.
Even some ftf which are pleasant enough.
I do that all the time for kijiji transactions. of the few dozen times I've done it I don't think I have ever had them follow through. more often a follow up message if I even get one is "Can you deliver it?'After being left hanging a time or two (or 10), I found the easiest way to avoid this is to say some version of
Sure, I'd accept that today if I see an emt before supper/tonight/"insert hard deadline here". Money talks and bs walks. You'll find out shortly and no guessing.
I don't believe you can leave a feedback, as no deal was completed, but I wish there was a category on the ratings that a person could be flagged for backing out/ghosting. Be pretty hard to have anyone sell you something if you have a box that shows everytime you backed out or flaked out on a deal.
