I have a very early 84 in 16 bore. Case colours are great and the walnut is very good. Mine is the variant without the access hole to change a broken firing pin. Most have it some (like mine) do not. There does not to be any rhyme or reason either as I have seen serial numbered guns within 100 on both sides of mine with the access hole.

Here are some of my Cooey 84's. On this rack I have a .410, 28g, 20g and 16g. It would be nice to find a 5 gun rack so that I can include my matching 12g in the display
That's a cool little collection you have there. That gun rack takes me back to grade 10 wood shop. The one I made still being used in my buddies hunt camp near Wiarton.Here are some of my Cooey 84's. Make one - or if you have a teenager relative, they are a great project. Cost about $12 to make one out of pine.

I sold an old Iver Johnson 12 ga to a Canadian arms collector in NB last year in stunning original condition, unbelievable really, if you've seen a couple dozen of them from beater to pretty nice. This one was in high orig condition with full case colour, just a chipped owl plate which I'm sure he changed....not worth a lot but try to find another like it!

Funny thing is that I have the materials, the plans, the tools and the skills to make a custom rack. However, time continues to be my enemy and i never seem to get around to doing it
I think we're all in the same boat. Any young relative that could make it?
