"M-LOK uses a flat nut that is suitable for polymer, metal and carbon fiber mounting surfaces."
There's already polymer KM handguard made by B5.
"M-LOK accessories are multi directional (can be mounted forward or backwards)."
KM already has reverse mountable accessories.
"M-LOK is a true direct attach system so a line of accessories mounted next to each other do not need to be slid off to remove just one piece."
Please provide a real world example that you need to do this. I have a VG, flashlight mount and there's no need to mount them next to each other.
The quote is a year old. The advantages and reduced cost for MLOK make it a superior choice. Having to slide attachments is an unnecessary action that has been eliminated with the MLOK design. Your example of not needing this feature is yours and is not indicative of what others may require. The list of advantages is long and you've addressed only a few. Keymod is unique but it is inferior to MLOK on many levels, to ignore the other attributes listed above is a foolish gesture.
