I made the switch a few years back and am very impressed. I have been strongly recommending them to others.

I have not had any issues with any of mine.

Was wondering if anybody have had issues with the product line as I haven't heard of anyone having issues with theirs.

bet this will be a short thread got a few myself never a problem if you where getting a new scope how could you do better.

Hope they used all name brand parts to fix it.

We have had several (more than 10) scopes returned for debris inside the scopes. This has only been with the Conquest models. This has occurred off and on for the past couple of years. Other than that we have had no other prblems. Phil.

Phil, what is the process when a Zeiss scope bought at your store is returned there?

I have an old 1.5-6x36 Diavari that fogged up. I've had it for 20+ years and it was used when I got it, so probably no fault of the scope. Sooner or later everything dies.

Interesting with the debris...........I was at Cabela's in Winnipeg looking through a 4.5-14x44 Conquest with a Rapid Z reticle last fall, there was definite debris on the lens(es). I showed it to the salesman, he lightly shook the scope and whacked it against his leg, it wouldn't move.

When Zeiss replaced the erector assembly in my Conquest they also were instructed by me to remove a spec of debris that was on one of the lenses. I wonder if the quality control for lens cleanliness isn't as tight on the Conquest line as it is on the more expensive lines...

On the Conquest line the glass is made in the same factory as everything else, but they are assembled in the US, this was apparently done to make the Zeiss line more practical for N.American sportsmen. I would imagine that is what likely would have happened is during the assembly stage outside of the Zeiss factory. They are meticulous with QC in the European plant. During a filmed tour they went as far as washing down the camera equipment and suiting up the camera crew before they could enter the clean areas.

Bought 5 of them about 3 years ago.

1 had a spec of something inside. It wasn't visible until I looked through it outside. Took the scope back, and was handed a new one. Haven't had any other problems.
