Ever have a hard time choosing between black or tan?

I started off with black firearms back about 15 years ago when I bought my first AR (Colt 20 HBar). I slowly started getting into the Tan furniture, but then sold it all. Then Reliable Gun Vancouver had the big sale. I went to the Calgary Shooting Centre and bought a Tavor because they were willing to match the sale price $2,300 and I didn't have to fight the crowds or pay for shipping. Yippee!!! Now... what magnified optic to put on it....so many choices.

Am I the only one that has gone back and forth on weather to make the collection all black or all tan or both? Have you ever had to choose?

P.S. - I not sure why the Tavor's hand guard is a different shade of tan than the body...do you know/has anyone else received a tan Tavor with this?

I've kinda waffled on it as well, but I have a few OD green guns as well.

I like that tan seems to be a very "widely usable" colour.

As far as optics go, I think a Vortex Viper PST 1-4 would be a solid option for the top of your Tavor!

I like the tan Tavor and the slightly different color handguard. Mine is the same way and perfer it over pictures where it is all monotone. IMO a black optic with black mag look sick as hell on the fde, along with tan sling and black sling hardware.

On another note bigger/higher optics look better on the Tavor if you wants looks and function.

Ya. The Americans have access to the OD green with their IWI US factory. If that was available, I would have chosen that for sure. I love that colour.

Clearly you just need to buy two of everything, one black and one tan. Plus then if you want to mix and match a little you can do tan and black by just switching around the parts! Problem solved lol

I did my fist M305 in a FDE stock and other accessories and havent looked back..I find in a rack of guns at the range the FDE ones stand out nicely from the all black ones...my wife and non gun owner friends seem to be a bit more relaxed around the FDE ar's than the all black ones that I own...even tho they are pretty much identical
