Looks like the Evil Roys have finally landed in Canada, I picked one up at P&D today, sadly the dollar has taken a beating and the price is somewhat more than they had anticipated them arriving at.

It looks great, I hope it shoots as well as it looks!

Heres a quick picture that I grabbed, that horded .22 ammo makes for a decent rifle stand :)

I have the basic non-evil Henry 001.
It shoots great and the trigger is so smooth and breaks nicely.
Mine takes 15 rounds of .22 LR regular and 21 rounds of .22 shorts.
The Evil Roy seems (from the Henry site) to accommodate less.

Evil Roy said,
I wanted a great looking short, lightweight but accurate .22 rifle which would meet all my personal needs. Henry Repeating Arms President Anthony Imperato and I have created just such a rifle with the Henry Frontier Carbine “Evil Roy Edition”. It features a short octagon barrel, fully adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight with beaded front sight, a grooved receiver for easy scope mounting, smooth trigger release, and a medium stock length suitable for both adults and kids. The silver receiver and barrel band with a large loop lever make it a complete package. Perfect.”

Here is "Evil Roys" pitch for it on Youtube.

The Receiver isnt stainless, just silver in finish.

Specs say 12 rounds of .22, so yes less than the classic which has a 18.5" barrel, the Evil Roy has a 16" octagonal barrel.

I've taken a picture beside my other Henrys, this may help with size comparisons.

Top to bottom is Frontier, Classic, Evil Roy and of course the Mares Leg

The stock engraving is lame... but I like the configuration... a 16" octagon barrel would have nice heft and balance. I have a GB and a Frontier "brass conversion" and like them both... but would probably like them even more at 16"...

Is the large loop standard and is the normal size lever optional.

Looks good!….however, I could do without the "Evil Roy". My cabinet is missing a .22 Lever Action….

Have a peek then at the Uberti Silverboy.

One note about these 'stainless' action rifles - I love the look of them, but they can be annoying to try and get a sight picture with on a sunny day.
