hey fellas

anyone have any experience with the Excel Arms rifles? or can you not get them in canada because they are bullpups ?

I have never seen them up here. I don't think this rifle would be considered bullpup in Canada......so I would say non-restricted. We have bullpups that are legal here as well....Tavor, Type 97 Norinco....etc. Only issue I can see is US export laws holding them up.

they are supposedly very good. ive been trying to track one down here in nz .. theres one guy selling one with an 8mm 5 shot group at 100m .. so accuracy is fine

Based on Pont's picture, the design is similare to a Berreta Storm, so its not a bullpup.

I left a message about Canadian distributors on their website.

There is an FRT # for the Excel Accelerator MR-17. Non-restricted.

I guess this means it has been or could be available somewhere in Canada.

It certainly looks interesting (I prefer the Automag II's look to that of the Excel arms .22 WMR pistol, IMHO, but whatever...). The Excel Arm's .22 WMR and .17 HMR adapttions for the 1911 alsao look excellent.

Not to be downbeat, but I'm not sure who would import it to this side of the border....

Must have been purchase in the US and imported. I've spoken via email with one of their sales team, they do not have a Canadian Distributor, and don't really seem interested. Perhaps if a Canadian Distributor was to call them......
