It's a long drive from where I live to where Excel is located. Been trying to call Excel the past week... No answer.... Just curious if anyone is able to talk to Marty or able to pick up 40 SWs from Excel in the last week or 2.

Why?
I have picked 3K about 1 month ago, but probably will need more next month.
Give him a call he is a good guy.

Maybe you'll get lucky and he'll be out!!

Seriously, haven't heard any good news about Excell in a while.

They are cheaper $$ than most others and yes a while ago the odd projectile would fragment while in flight with max loads (due to thin plating) but I have used about 10k Excel’s so far and haven’t had too many problems and if the price is right I would still buy some more. So .... is there a reasonably priced alternative? I live in central canada AFA shipping is concerned - so something economically priced and available from between alberta to ontario would be nice. Last batch I bought was from Wild West in Edmonton for about $80.00 per 1K of Excel 180g 40’s. Anybody have a good line on these?

I was there a few weeks ago and was only able to get 190gr. bullets, hopefully 180's are back in cuz i'm still trying to find a 190gr. load.

Sure we can buy Montanas or Frontiers, great product and consistent in weight, if that is important.
If we need something cheap, I say 30% - 40% (depends who sell them) less cost then Montana, Excel is fine. Their weight ratio is all over, from 188 to 193 grain fro 190grain, but they work. We can use them for practice or Level I or II matches and safe on good bullets for Level III or important shots.
This boils down to how much money we have to buy bullets?
How many of them we want to shoot a year?
