EXCELLENT - Milsurp Movie - Tae Guk Gi (The Brotherhood of War)

Not only does this movie have an excellent story, but it's a great milsurp show. Lots and Lots of Garands... going up against Mosin Nagants, PPsHs, etc.

There's an excellent scene where a soldier starts shooting the "good guys" with a PPsH and a soldier runs up and tackles him without a weapon!

I would describe the storyline and length of the movie to compare to Saving Private Ryan. The story is really really good.

The movie is, however, very gory. It is a South Korean movie made recently with all the special effects of a big budget Hollywood blockbuster.

you found an engish version? i was wondering if they made one. i hate reading subtitles. i have to ask though, is the english just dubbed over when the people are speaking korean? because having sound dubbing screwed up drives me nuts even more than subtitles.

Bah, Subtitles or no movie at all. I dont know how people watched dubbed movies.

But yes it was a good movie.

I always like to watch it in original spoken language, so the sound is as it meant to be and not distorted.

And by the way great movie. The communists in the movie had many DP28s, and even Vickers. PPSH and other Russian arms are abundant. I also saw a few BARs along with Garands and Carbines. Great movie. Oh yeah and the gore! And the effects are like those in Saving Private Ryan, so expect real battle scenes!

The one I got from Blockbuster has both dubbed audio and subtitles, so it's up to the individual operating the dvd - whatever your preference. I find the dubbed audio voices kind of funny.
