excellent results from prvi partisan SP ammunition

i shot a deer saturday morning with my CZ 858 loaded with 7.62x39mm PRVI softpoints the rounds performed excellent first 3 shots i went a bit low and kinna jsut clipped under the deer 4th shot right in the neck bullet broke the neck and passed right through deer was down is less than 5 feet no bullets were recovered however examining the wound while cleaning seemed to indicate the bullets mushroomed just fine and didnt fragment or anything

just thought id report this to anyone wanting to hunt with their CZ, SKS etc... soft point is tough to find sometimes so im glad this stuff worked....

Sweet! I bought some of those for my SKS. Good to know they did the trick. Did you have to reload or are you allowed to have more than 3 rounds loaded where you hunt?

deer was shot at aound 50 yards broadside the shot to the neck went right through around 12 inches the exit wound was alot bigger than the entry but it ws clean as well so it would appear the bullets remained perfecly intact

I shot some of that out of a friend's 858 and I was pleasantly surprised with the results as well. I'd say it's nearly as accurate a loading as the steel-cased Czech surplus stuff.

i agree i have milsurp czech surplus and this soft point does just as well it would seem....
