We've had something rather unique come across the desk just now -- an opportunity to offer Canadian shooters a very low-run (<200 made) American exclusive model of Colt Government pistol! Colt built less than 200 of these .45ACP firearms for Lew Horton Distribution. These were built to spec with medium-length three-hole triggers finished in black, with the dark blued finish and USGI sights, finished off with a custom checkered mainspring housing and Hogue Overmolded Wraparound grips for comfort and recoil management.

With under 200 ever built, numbers started out limited -- and we have access to just five (5) still available at this time.

We have them on their way now pending paperwork, due for late Oct/early Nov, and will accept preorders on these now. Pricing looks to be $1249.99. Deposits are $249.99 with the remaining $1000.00 due on arrival. Taxes of course apply here as they do everywhere else in life!

This product above is for deposits only. Five slots are available; this product will go away when we have reached our limit. Each slot sold guarantees the buyer one of these nicely appointed exclusive Colts!

Cheers,
Daniel

We are indeed experiencing a hosting issue and it is being resolved. Thanks for noticing! We'll work on having it fixed ASAP, so check back shortly please :)

Also, yes, these are Series 80 (1991) internals.

What I would love is a series 70 government model with an extended trigger, deep blue, and colt double diamond wood grips

That's one I'd shell out for :)

2nd ugliest grip on a 1911 in NATO...

In the whole world, actually. I put Herret traditional grips onto my six-year-old Norinco. It looks great ... until you see all that scroll engraving ... and always goes bang. Who needs ugly rubber ergonomic grips on a .45?
