I am interested in ripping my HP9-1 down and polishing up the action and rails and was looking for something to help me put it back together again . Taking it apart is never a problem, it's putting it back together without having any spare parts left over!! I want this little beast to be as slick as whale #### in an ice flow .....

goto www.again.net/~steve/page7a.htm or http://stevespages.com/page7b.htm look up REMINGTON 870. Don't remove the shell latches ,they are fastened to the frame on both sides and require special tools to re rivet them. Also think twice before disassembling the trigger group, unless you have to replace a part then you have to do it. GOOD LUCK. And the answer to the BRAILLE on the key pads is " they have seen how some people drive and feel they must be blind".

Bearman , thanks for a point in the right direction I'll check there next. Good try on the Braille question , but next time you use a drive up service the braille is there . As to the blind driving I have a cousin who is totally blind sine 5 or 6 and when he was just old enough himself him and some friends went out drinking and got rather hammered and they decided that neither of them could drive while blind drunk so since he was already blind he had the advantage and should be the one to drive home so He Did with them telling him how to turn the wheel.

Thats nothing Archibald, when they were all younger his brothers told him that they were leading him up the ladder of a slide but really the ladder was against the house and when they got to the top they lead him onto the roof and then went back down abandoning him on the roof whih no way down .

More recently he was training for a marathon and needed someone to run long disance with him ,unfortunately part way through the training hin partner was hurt and couldn't run . Instead of quiting he got his son to take hm to a large parking area so he run in safty . His son kept up with him in the car with him running along side and to keep him from vering away he held on to a rope that kept him next to the car . One of him buddy's friends saw they and the next day asked the son what he was doing with his Dad . He just looked back and said that the dog ran away so he took his Dad for a walk. !!!!!!!
