I am not making any sets except for the couple customers I have now and I am sorry to keep them waiting. I am currently trying to expand to give me more time to do this. After I fill my commitments to these customers I will be working on some full sets for myself and may have a few things to sell and share. Sorry for any inconvenience but I just do not have the time needed right now. I hope you liked these sets and I will show you a few more rifles and compact sets as I find the time for posting them. Thanks as always to my friend bfiles who has been my biggest supporter when all seemed lost at times. Our CZ/VZ/CSA/CZH/FSN family just keeps growing and growing... I love it!

Very cool!! i would love to see you get your hands on some quilted walnut and some exotic hardwoods.........that would be something i would add to my must have list

The cocobolo strain is an exotic hardwood... I have done some padauk, zebrawood, Iroko (teak), Chakte kok, cocobolo of different strains and a few others ...currently working on a California redwood and a tiger maple sets

Sorry i mean like figured wood exotic examples, how does one convince you to create a set for them?

The donkey **** looks great, I'd love to get that piece.
It's surprising how close to an AK the aftermarket wood gets the CZ-858/vz-58, the only way I can tell is the angled dust cover and bolt.
Looks awesome.

Well your work is exquisite, but now we all want a set! I sure would love a walnut one. Maybe you could come up with a catalogue with prices and work schedule?

Believe it or not I have been making these sets for about 3 1/2 years. Bfiles got me started after I blueprinted the beaver barf sets I decided that I could actually make them as well...(with some relentless prodding by B of course LOL.... because no one had them at that time). It all boils down to time. My only place to work out of is 2 hours North of Toronto but I work here for my full time job which sadly is always nights. This does not help an active shop time and actually end up sanding a lot of pieces here in my apartment ...which I hate(dusty dirty crap!!!)...but its a labour of love of sorts I suppose. In the midst of trying to put all this stuff together and do other peoples customs I suffered a severe loss in my family and as a result lost a good part of a year trying to pick myself back up. Everything in my life came into question but I am back doing what I enjoy as a hobby right now...maybe more serious not so later I hope
The hardware is damn well hard to find now and I usually resort to buying full wood butts and stripping them which is expensive in itself ...about $50 used once you get in shipping even if I buy used at $20 US. And RPK...well ...I am still searching for a steady supplier they are getting very scarce, even used, just for the butt plate. I hope to move to a shop next year (it was suppose to happen this year) bringing the opportunity to bring the machinery and shop closer to me will give me an opportunity to make custom stuff for people and not make them wait so long for it.
I have customized almost every option you can have (furniture wise) on an AK to retrofit the CZ/VZ and have a working model to show. This includes a MAK90 stock, Egyptian maadi thumbhole, PSL, Chinese folder, Romy folder, Romy forward and backward lowers, Krink lowers, AKSU lowers, about 10 or so different styles of pistol grips, AK sets and RPK sets and a bunch of odds and ends that are cool looking. I even have a modded AK bayo that fits the front bayo lug of the VZ. I hope to start working on a few sets that I can sell before the new year but 1st I have commitments I must fulfill in order to free that time. I am sorry to tease with the photos and not be able to supply others more conveniently which is why I do not post more of my work sadly.

Looking for a set like Travis Bickle's brother was making. I sent him a pm and email a number of months ago, I'm assuming he isn't interested in making anymore so I need to look elsewhere.

What you do not see in the photo is that stock is done in 2 pieces split down the middle...mine are only 1. A guy I know has a set and it does look good but I cannot stop looking at the split down the middle. The pistol grip was too square for my liking as well with very little corner round...but to each their own I guess. So no...I dont make sets like his....I make them as close to the original AK as possible

Didn't know that, I'd definitely agree with the comment about the pistol grip. I'm really hurting for some new wood though, the beaver barf is killing me!
