Has any one tried to export a semi auto 1919 from the U.S. lately? It seems the rules are changing, they have allowed the TNW models. I missed out on them and wondered if it might be possible.
Not to hijack the thread but my question falls in-line with this. Can you import the M1919A4 parts kit?
It might help if the barrel extension, bolt and lock frame were already machined, and the right hand side plate, semi auto sear, trigger and trigger spring were included. You might as well get a finished RHSP; its a FFL item, but seeing as you will be going the IIC/US exporter route, it shouldn't make any difference. Might make it even easier because the kit will obviously be a set of parts for a semi auto firearm.
You will have to find a US exporter that will handle the export, and you will have to obtain a IIC.
You will also have to find someone who will sell you the kit, and arrange for the machining to be done.
1919 kits are rapidly drying up in the US.
Just a thought - do your have lower back pain from sitting on your overstuffed wallet? By the time you go through this process, the pain should be gone.
