I bought a Extended (modified) Choke for my Remington 870. I wanted the elongated look of the choke up front. this is my 870 left handed hunting shotgun but i plan on trying out on a friends 870 police to see how it looks and shoots, im sure it will do both just fine! but im planing on putting it onto my soon to come police or marine magnum (although marine barrel doesn't come threaded)

I wasn't aware those things were choked... I thought it was just an extension for shooting doors off their hinges... gawd awful ugly...

Is there somone that can thread that marine barrel for you. No one here does rem choke which I assume it is plus they normally charge like 120 bucks for the threading

Have to agree on all counts .its a door breecher didn't realize they made in any constriction other than cylinder .

The newer Remington 870 Police comes with a mag tube extension, cylinder door breaching choke, flat top rail and ghost ring sights. They're a pretty sweet setup!

As for a nice looking ported extended choke for a hunting shotgun, put a Kick's MOD in that thing, lol.

this is a test, before i put it on my police 870.... funny guy

like i said to the other feller, its a test, gonna be going on a police 870...

No worries...the old guys are just giving you a "friendly" hard time! That being said, I'm only 34 and I have to agree with them...they look out of place on any shotgun! LOL! At the end of the day, though, what we think is not important. If you like the looks, that's all that really matters!

I wasn't aware they made those breeching chokes in any constriction other than Cylinder...is that aRemington supplied choke or aftermarket?

haha i know, not offended at all, they are entitled to their opinion! :) this is just a part a friend of mine gave me, so i decided to see what it looked like, i will not and def will not keep it, that 870 is my hunting gun and i have a full choke on it! this was just a test.... yea its machined aftermarket

Looks like just a standard remington extended ported tactical to me. I have one kicking around some where on a barrel I bought. All the rem choke ones I have seen are cylinder but there is a new run of them in pro bore those have different restrictions as options
