Okay, it may be silly, but I need to ask. Is there any problem with using an extended choke tube in only one barrel of a SxS or O/U?

Assuming you're not suggesting the other barrel would have no choke tube installed at all, no. (I'm also assuming both the flush choke tube and the extended choke tube are threaded and fitted correctly for the gun.)

It'll look a bit strange and you might get a few questions about it, but no harm can come from it.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention that the extended choke will likely get scorched by the barrel with the flush choke.

What you're wondering about is not really a great idea.

Do you already own these tubes? Is there a reason why you wouldn't just install two similar tubes?

straightshooter,

You answerred my question perfectly. I was thinking of getting an extended Turkey choke for an IZH-43. Now I know, and won't.
