which one of the two shown on this pic is the extended one by Ed Brown? Tip: the other one came out of norinco's NP29

Top one going on pictures on brownells website

That's correct. I bought it from Brownels to improve ejection of my Np29 which was having occasional hiccups but discovered that this "extended" item is actually shorter than the factory one installed inside the norc. I then decided to install it and test it anyway. As suspected the gun has stopped cycling completely (stove pipe after stove pipe). Now back to to the factory one wondering why Ed Brown calls this item "extended"

Probably meant for a .45. Would be extended for those.

the bottom one is best for 9x19 and is good for that caliber (the shell is 19 mm).... and will work with 38sa cases (23mm) but will have difficulty in ejecting a complete cartridge
for 38sa the best is the top one
