Part One:

Looking to maybe go this route. Keeping the Front Sight Post, but adding a free flaoted rail that has the extension/cut out to keep the FSP.

I was looking at the Samson STAR CX. I like this one because it has the cut out, but the rail on either side that goes forward is minimal, enough for a light.

This cuts down on weight.

Samson has a few others that are similar with a bit more meat on the end, but adding weight.

There was another brand of rail that had two pieces that came from the side, but did not connect around the front of the FSP.

I can't recall the name, and I can't recall if it was just a drop in two piece replacement that does not float the barrel.

Input/Feedback?

Anyone use these as a set up?

Part Two:

If anyone has a pic, I'd love to see one of these rails with the extension, FSP, done on a 10.5" CQB AR15/M4.

Thanks all.

Im digging the Centurion Arms C4 free float with cut out for the FSP.

Anyone dealt with this company Canada side?

As with your other thread, a good friend of mine has the C-4 Diopter sights, and they are incredibly well made, so I would assume that the Centurion stuff is all top quality, however I do not have personal experience with their rails.

I think Daniel Defense also has a rail with a front sight base cutout, and they are usually known for being nice and light and very durable.

From One Shot Tactical:

Probably not much (if any) more than the Centurion would be after you get it imported and tax etc...

Quality wise daniel defense is right up there with LaRue Tactical and Brugger and Thomet.
